Research Activities

Research Achievements:-

• In 2025, ICAR-Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research (ICAR-IIOR), Hyderabad declared School of Agriculture, GIET University as their “Voluntary Center” for research activities. Click here

• In 2025, School of Agriculture, GIET University introduced Medicinal crop- Ashwagandha for large scale cultivation under the guidance of MoU partner ICAR-NIRCA.
• In 2025, faculties magnificently received 32.75 Lakhs Research Grant from External Funding Agencies like NITI Aayog, MSME and ICAR.
• In 2025, One faculty secured 24 Lakhs Grant for Start-up under Start-up India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS).
• During 2024-2025, the faculty members and students published 9 patents, and one patent was successfully granted in 2025.
• In 2023, two student projects were selected under E-YUVA Fellow and funded by E-YUVA, BIRAC, DBT, Govt. of India  @ 2.5 Lakhs/project.
• During 2021-2022, an integrated unit comprising of mushroom cultivation as well as spawn production was established.
• During 2020-2021, a model IFS unit of 01 hectare was established in the fruit orchard.
• In 2019, a fruit orchard comprising of tropical and sub-tropical fruit plants was established in an area of 10 acres.
• In 2018, the School of Agriculture has established an Instructional Farm comprising of Agronomic and Horticultural Crops in an area of 12 acres.
