About NCC Unit in GIET University:
The National Cadel Crops is the Indian Military Cadet Corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students voluntarily. NCC also recruits cadets from high schools, colleges, and universities all over Indian. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. But NCC cadets are given more preference over normal candidates during selection for military services. Our University besides, building up professionals for the hi-tech world, has also decided to incorporate this initiative. This is to engage the interested students to enrol in the training if they wish to apply for military service in the future or train themselves as NCC cadets. The training period of NCC is three years, and the cadets have to pass two exams that is ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates. ‘C’ certificate holders can join the Indian Army without the written exam and even have the opportunity to join SSB, CRPF, ITBP, BSF, CISF, and also other private companies like Reliance Ambuja Group, Tata Birla, Infosys, and other MNC prefer Cadets for different jobs.
We aim to develop a personality, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, a spirit of exploration, sportsmanship, and ideals of selfless service among the nation’s youth. We also have the vision to create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated individuals. This program will enable them to teach leadership in all walks of life. It will also enable the individuals to always be available for the nation’s service.
GIET aspires to organise various social-cultural, awareness and environmental programs. These programs will further add to the purpose of this training.

NCC Flag
NCC Flag contains NCC Crest in gold in the middle, with letters ‘NCC’ encircled by a wreath of seventeen lotuses with a background in Red, Blue and Light Blue. Red depicts the Army, Deep Blue depicts the Navy, and Light Blue depicts the Air Force. The seventeen lotuses represent the 17 State Directorates. “Unity of Discipline is written at the bottom of the NCC Flag”.
GIET university on NCC:
This NCC unit is installed on the campus to establish the exercise of the values insisted upon as per the goals and objectives of our institution. The university aims to create an efficient space with multiple objectives to prepare students for the future. However, NCC is one of the factors that would ensure us to attain our goal extensively. We have aimed to groom our students to attain many benefits later in life.
