The school provides an environment that promotes not only healthy academic activity but also overall personal growth and development. Accordingly, the institution has adopted an educational approach that emphasises openness, transparency, flexibility, and growth opportunities.

In addition to teaching, the school engages in research, extension, and consulting.

Innovative Programmes

Practical Crop Production (PCP) and Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) are two unique programmes in the B.Sc.Ag curriculum.

Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE)

Students at RAWE are exposed to real-world rural environments. Its goal is to raise student knowledge of the problems that farmers and rural people face in order to instil a professional approach to dealing with real-life issues. Industrial attachment, field trips, village attachment, and plant clinic are all important components. Students who participate in industrial attachments are assigned to a certain industry and get work experience there. Village attachment is a programme in which students are assigned to a village and work under the supervision of farmers. They also assist farmers with a variety of tasks. Progressive farms, Krishi Vigyan Kendras, Horticulture Centers, and IPM Laboratories, among others, are visited on field trips. Students in the plant clinic undergo extensive training. They analyse numerous soil and plant problems that affect production and offer solutions or ideas to farmers.

Practical Crop Production (PCP)

It is a required component of the B.Sc. Ag. degree programme. A group of eight students is given one acre of land in this project. They must grow it on their own. They not only profit from selling their crops during PCP, but they also face the hazards of agricultural cultivation.

Laboratory Resources

Students can conduct experiments and gain practical knowledge in the School of Agriculture’s well-equipped laboratories. In addition, there are laboratories in many departments that are operational.

Computer Cell

It has a large number of computers with access to the internet. Students can work on these computers at any time during the day.

Students Placement Cell

This cell provides assistance to students in the form of counselling and job placement. Every year, a significant number of students participate in campus interviews to join private organisations.
