The NSS unit at GIET University, Gunupur, strives to maintain the belief that service begins with a desire to better society. The mission is to provide assistance to society as a whole. To uphold their vision and mission, the NSS unit has held a number of programmes for the upliftment of society and has stood tall and provided assistance to people in times of need, whether it was a natural disaster or a man-made destruction. The unit’s activities include tree plantation drives (Vanmahotsav), blood donation drives, the distribution of unused clothes, food, and snacks to the needy (Spandan), and the publication of the yearly magazine ‘Prayas,’ which highlights the group’s work and accomplishments in order to maintain transparency and encourage other students to join the unit. NSS, GIETU strives to be of service to others, with an impact not only on others but also on the greater good of society.
