The School of Agriculture at G.I.E.T. University, Gunupur, Odisha, is dedicated to fostering a robust research culture within the department. Our mission is to promote research in emerging and interdisciplinary areas of agricultural science and technology. We encourage undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, as well as faculty members, to engage in research that addresses current challenges in agriculture.

Aim:
To Promote, Coordinate, and Implement Research and Development Programs.
Major Goals / Objective of R & D Cell:
- Support the development of innovative solutions to address pressing issues in agriculture, such as climate change, soil health, and sustainable farming practices.
- Promote collaboration among different departments within the university to address complex agricultural problems through interdisciplinary research.
- Assist faculty and students in identifying and applying for research grants from various funding agencies, including government bodies, industry partners, and international organizations.
- Develop and maintain state-of-the-art research facilities, including laboratories, greenhouses, and instructional farms, to support advanced agricultural research.
- Encourage the publication of research findings in reputable journals and presentation at national and international conferences.
- Organize seminars, workshops, and conferences to disseminate research outcomes and foster knowledge exchange among researchers, students, and industry professionals.
- Facilitate the transfer of research outcomes into practical applications through collaborations with industry partners and entrepreneurs.
- Provide training and development opportunities for faculty and students to enhance their research skills and knowledge.
- Establish mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of research projects.
