Entrepreneurship

B.B.A in Entrepreneurship is a three-year undergraduate course in Business Management. Entrepreneurship is referred to as conceptualising, launching and running a business enterprise. The goal is to provide goods and services, employment, earn revenue and contribute to the growth of the country’s economy.

The programme is intended to prepare future entrepreneurs with the skills and experience to start their own business. The focus of the course is on developing an entrepreneurial mindset amongst the students. The course is designed keeping in mind the latest developments in the industry. The long-term purpose of this programme is to help the students develop an understanding of the attitude and skills that are required to succeed as an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship courses provide not only the skills and training for refining business insight but also provide the students with tools and methods of business innovation and expansion. A sense of entrepreneurship helps students to be job creators rather than job seekers.

The department employs innovative teaching methods like real-life scenarios, role plays, use of audio and videotapes, group work and so on. Emphasis is laid on practical experience which happens through innovative techniques like case studies, actual projects, and learning by doing.

Other than being an entrepreneur themselves and starting their own business or start-ups, students can choose different career avenues after successful completion of the course. They can be Business Consultant, Franchise Operator, Finance Controller, Placement Coordinator, New Venture Developer, HR Officer, and so on.
