Industry Tie-ups
The department of computer science and engineering at GIET University has tie-ups with different organisations, companies, skill development centres. This is to ensure that all the students are provided with a learning environment that challenges them and helps them develop their knowledge, practical and social skills holistically. The focus is also on developing their leadership qualities, evolve socially responsible behaviour and inculcate lifelong learning habit in them. The industrial tie-ups include the following industries, organisations, and educational institutions:
- Oracle
GIET University signed a workforce development program (WDP) agreement with Oracle. Through this program, the students got an opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and develop skills in Java Programming, Database Design, Structured Query Language (SQL) etc. Along with academic knowledge, the students also gained valuable skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration with industry experts as well peers from different educational institutions. The knowledge and skills attained by them will help the students advance their academic career in computer science or enter the job market across various industries.
- IIT Bombay for Remote Centre Coordinator (RCC)
Through this centre, GIET University students are trained and certified by IIT Bombay on the potential use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching and learning for the benefit of all learners in higher education institutions across the country. This was an initiative launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.
- Imagin xP
GIET University has tie-ups with Imagin xP, a leading ed-tech organisation. Students are taught User Experience (UX) design tools and techniques as exercised in the industry. This makes them industry-ready and employable in different industries. This program is focused on the overall development of students through a mixture of classroom assignments, practical fieldwork, live industry projects, internships and shadow learning.
- IBM
IBM has been collaborating with the Computer Science and Engineering department of GIET University to provide world-class skills, training to students on IBM technologies. The centre is providing the students with an opportunity to learn new skill-sets on the latest technologies and IBM products. Both the faculty and students of GIET University are trained in leading technologies as per industry standards through IBM experts. The latest software technologies include RAD, CLOUD, BIG DATA, TIVOLI, DB2, etc.
- Infosys Technologies
GIET University has a tie-up with Infosys Technologies. The programme called Campus Connect trains faculty and students from the university in an industry-oriented curriculum. This joint programme has been able to produce several industry-ready graduates. This programme aims to deepen the industry-academia relationship as well as create a strong foundation for the emerging knowledge economy in India.
6. Lagozon Edutech Pvt. Ltd.
GIET University has a tie-up with Lagozon Edutech Pvt. Ltd. The collaboration provides industry-oriented training in Data Analytics, along with certification programs, internships, and skill development opportunities for students. Through this joint initiative, students gain practical exposure to data analytics tools, real-world projects, and industry best practices, making them career-ready. The program aims to strengthen the industry–academia relationship while enhancing students’ technical competencies, analytical skills, and overall employability.
7. Intel:
GIET University has a tie-up with Intel to promote industry-oriented learning and innovation in emerging technologies. As part of this collaboration, Intel has established a dedicated laboratory on the university campus, providing students with access to advanced computing resources and hands-on practical learning. The partnership offers training programs, workshops, and technical sessions that enhance students’ knowledge and industry readiness. This initiative aims to strengthen the industry–academia relationship while fostering innovation, research, and skill development in cutting-edge technologies.
8. EduPyramids Educational Services Pvt. Ltd.
GIET University has a tie-up with EduPyramids Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. to facilitate the Spoken Tutorial Programme and promote industry-oriented technical education. As part of this collaboration, the university has established a dedicated Spoken Tutorial Laboratory equipped with the necessary infrastructure for hands-on learning and certification. The program provides training and certification in various open-source software, programming languages, and emerging technologies through the Spoken Tutorial platform. This initiative aims to strengthen the industry–academia relationship while enhancing students’ technical skills, practical knowledge, and overall employability.
9. Information Data System (IDS) Pvt. Ltd.
GIET University has a partnership with Information Data Systems (IDS) Pvt. Ltd. to promote industry-oriented learning in emerging technologies such as Blockchain, AWS, and Azure Cloud services. As part of this collaboration, the university has established a dedicated IDS Laboratory equipped with modern infrastructure to facilitate hands-on learning and practical training. The program offers workshops, certification courses, internships, and project-based learning, enabling students to gain industry-relevant skills and real-world experience. This initiative aims to strengthen the industry–academia relationship while enhancing students’ technical competencies, innovation, and employability.
