Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, GIET University, Gunupur, Odisha. Our department is committed to delivering quality engineering education through Outcome-Based Education (OBE), fostering academic excellence, innovation and professional ethics. With experienced faculty, modern laboratories and strong industry–academia collaboration, we provide a vibrant learning environment that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications. The department actively embraces emerging technologies such as Design and Simulation, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0 and Sustainable Engineering to prepare students for the rapidly evolving industrial landscape. Through project-based learning, internships, certification programmes, research, innovation, entrepreneurship and industry interaction, our students develop the technical competence and leadership skills required by global employers.
