WORKSHOP ON “COMPUTER AIDED MANUFACTURING”

ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON “COMPUTER AIDED MANUFACTURING” BY B.TECH. IV AND VI SEM MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS ON 16.03.2024

IV and VI sem Mechanical Engineering students accompanied by Mr. Santosh kumar Tripathy, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering and Mr. Gopal Krushna Mohanta, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Mechanical Engineering Visited CTTC, Rayagada on 16/03/2024 for One Day Workshop On “Computer Aided Manufacturing”.

The main aim to visit CTTC, Rayagada is to expose practical knowledge on CNC milling and Cad software. In the 1st session of the workshop, students learn about the basic concept of CAD and CAM. In the 2nd session of workshop students prepared an Android Key ring. There are various software are used for CAD modeling. NX software is one of the famous and new software used to design the CAD model. The trainer of CTTC explained about the software and students prepared an android CAD model by NX software. After preparation of CAD model students want to Workshop for preparation of Mold by CNC Milling. For profile cutting CNC Milling machine is used. The Trainers of CTTC, Rayagada informed about CNC Milling machine and explained about the preparation of Mould by CNC Milling Machine. All the students were divided into four Groups and Each group prepared a mould by Milling Machine. After preparation of Mould Students prepared an android Key ring by using Injection Moulding.

The arranged visit is so much useful for strengthening practical knowledge of the course CAD CAM, Manufacturing Science.
At the end of visit, students expressed votes of thanks to Mr. Santosh Kumar Swain, Training in charge- CTTC, Rayagada , and other technical staffs and technicians.They also thanked Dr. A.B. Srinivasa Rao, HoD,. and Registrar Sir for encouraging towards practical exposure and providing the necessary support for this tour.
