Programme Overview: The Department of Chemical Engineering, GIET University, Gunupur, organized a Two-Day Hands-on Workshop on “Chemical Safety, Process Safety, Basics of HAZOP Study & Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)” on 7^th – 8^th August 2026. The workshop provided students with practical exposure to chemical and process safety, hazard identification, HAZOP methodology, and risk assessment through interactive sessions and industry-oriented case studies.

The programme enhanced students understanding of industrial safety practices, risk mitigation, and professional responsibilities, while strengthening their industry readiness and awareness of safety culture in chemical process industries.
