Three-Day National Level Workshop on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

The *Department of Mechanical Engineering, Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University, Gunupur, successfully organized a **Three-Day National Level Workshop on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)* in association with *Mega NDT, Visakhapatnam*. The workshop was conducted for students of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering to enhance their practical knowledge in advanced inspection techniques used in industries.

During the three-day program, experts introduced students to the fundamentals, scope, and industrial applications of NDT. Hands-on practical sessions were conducted on Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Radiography Film Analysis, and Ultrasonic Testing (UT). Students actively participated in the practical demonstrations and gained valuable experience in detecting surface and internal defects in materials without causing damage.

The resource persons also discussed the future scope and career opportunities in the field of Non-Destructive Testing, highlighting its importance in industries such as aerospace, manufacturing, oil and gas, and power plants.

The workshop concluded successfully with the distribution of certificates to all the participating students, making the event a valuable learning experience that strengthened the connection between academic learning and industrial practices.
