 Department of Mechanical Engineering | GIET University, Gunupur

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, GIET University, Gunupur, successfully organized an “Orientation Programme” for the admitted B.Tech students, marking the beginning of their exciting engineering journey.

The session introduced students to the department’s academic excellence, experienced faculty members, dedicated technical staff, modern laboratories, research and innovation opportunities, internship and placement support, and vibrant student activities. Students were also informed about the various opportunities available through workshops, seminars, industrial visits, technical competitions, conferences, and skill development programmes.

Special emphasis was given to ‘Outcome-Based Education (OBE)” and the importance of ‘NBA Accreditation”, encouraging students to actively participate in academic, technical, and co-curricular activities throughout their course.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, motivating students to pursue excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning while making the best use of the opportunities available at GIET University.
