The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, GIET University, Gunupur, successfully organized a One Week Online Workshop on Academic and Applied Research from 21st to 25th June 2025. This workshop aimed to provide an enriching platform for academicians, researchers, and students to deepen their understanding of contemporary research methodologies, tools, and trends in both academic and industry-oriented research. Eminent speakers from reputed institutions and industries were invited to deliver expert sessions on diverse topics including research problem identification, literature review techniques, scientific writing, data analysis, intellectual property rights, and publication ethics. The sessions were designed to bridge the gap between theoretical foundations and real-world applications, fostering interdisciplinary research collaboration. Over 50 participants from across the country actively engaged in the sessions through interactive Q&A and hands-on activities. The workshop also focused on empowering early-career researchers with the necessary skills to develop impactful research proposals and publish in high-quality journals. The event concluded with a valedictory session that highlighted key takeaways, acknowledged participant contributions, and encouraged continuous research engagement. The workshop was a commendable initiative by the Department of CSE, reinforcing GIET University’s commitment to promoting excellence in research and innovation.
