GIET University Organises Patriotic March Under Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign

Gunupur, August 13, 2026: As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of Independence Day, Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University (GIET University), Gunupur, organised a patriotic march on Thursday under the aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

The march commenced from the New Bus Stand, Gunupur, and concluded at Gunupur College. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, university officials, NSS and NCC volunteers.

Dr. N. V. Jagannadha Rao, Registrar, GIET University; Dr. A. V. N. L. Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Dr. P. Vijay Kumar, Controller of Examinations; Bani Prasad Nayak, NSS Programme Officer; Dr. Premanshu Sekhar Rath, Convener; and Chinmay Swain, NCC Officer, were among those present during the programme.

Carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans, the participants marched through the town, spreading the message of patriotism, national unity and respect for the nation. The initiative aimed to strengthen the spirit of national integration and instil a sense of pride and responsibility towards the country among the youth.

The march, conducted with the message “Respect for the Tricolour is Respect for the Nation,” created a vibrant atmosphere of patriotism across Gunupur. Professors, faculty members, NSS and NCC volunteers, and students participated with great enthusiasm, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of unity, patriotism and service to the nation.
