E-YUVA Centre Shines at 3rd Life Science Startup Summit

The E-YUVA Centre, GIET University, made a significant impact at the 3rd Life Science Startup Summit held at the Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, on October 4-5, 2024. Our bio-incubator showcased innovative projects from our incubated startups, fostering collaborations and partnerships in biotechnology and sustainability.

Showcased Projects:

SURFIN: Biosurfactant for efficient e-waste recovery (Developed by NIT Agartala, B.Tech E-YUVA Fellows)

MAKKAI: Biodegradable plates from corn cobs (Post-Master, E-YUVA Innovation Fellow)

ECHRA Innovations: Eco-friendly sanitary napkins from water hyacinth (Developed by GIET University, B.Tech E-YUVA Fellows)

GoDoc: Personalized medical health record application (Developed by MBBS student E-YUVA Fellows from JMC Medical University)

Antimicrobial & Biodegradable Packet: Patented Technology of Antibacterial and biodegradable packaging (Developed by CIPET, Bhubaneswar, B.Tech E-YUVA Fellows)

Bio-mom Organics: Seaweed and microalgae-based food formulations (Developed by Post-Doctoral E-YUVA Innovation Fellows)

Biomat Innovations Pvt. Ltd.:

Bio-degradable coating material for seed and fertilizer for biopriming and nutrient slow release

Hand-held portable device for screening mouth cancer (Developed by Centre Coordinator, BIRAC E-YUVA Centre)

Award and Recognition:

Our team won the Best Poster Presentation award for the project ECO FISH, an innovative solution helping small-scale fishermen locate fish sustainably.
