Gunupur, 19.09.2024 – A 12-day awareness camp on entrepreneurship development was inaugurated today at the School of Management Studies auditorium, GIET University. The event, aimed at promoting entrepreneurial skills among students and the local community, was launched with the presence of esteemed guests and industry experts.
Dr. Chandra Dhwaj Panda, Vice Chairman of the University, served as the chief guest for the occasion. In his speech, Dr. Panda emphasized the significance of such camps in motivating future entrepreneurs, encouraging them to achieve success and contribute to regional development.
The event also featured other notable speakers, including Dr. A.V.N.L. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of the university, Mr. Bijay Kumar Sahu, General Manager of the District Industries Centre, Rayagada, and Mr. Debashish Mohanty, Assistant Industrial Officer. They discussed various aspects of entrepreneurship and highlighted the role of innovation and industry growth in the region.
Local entrepreneurs from Gunupur, along with managers from several banks, were in attendance, providing practical insights into the entrepreneurial landscape. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Soumendra Das, Head of the School of Management Studies, while Dr. Debashish Mahapatra concluded the session with a vote of thanks.
