Mr. Debashis Kamila

GIET University’s Mechanical Engineering Department & Alumni Association Cell recently had the honor of hosting its esteemed alumnus, Mr. Debashis Kamila, who currently serves as the Assistant Division Manager at TATA Steel Pvt. Ltd. His visit on January 30, 2025, marked a significant occasion for both the faculty and students, fostering a deeper connection between industry and academia. During his time on campus, Mr. Kamila engaged in a meaningful discussion with the university’s Registrar, Dr. N V J Rao, to explore various avenues of collaboration. The discussion focused on strengthening academic support, facilitating internship opportunities, placement etc. Such collaborative efforts aim to provide students with real-world exposure and practical learning experiences that complement their academic curriculum.

In addition to these discussions, Mr. Kamila took the opportunity to interact with 2nd and 3rd-year Mechanical Engineering students, offering them valuable insights into the corporate world.
