World Energy Conservation Day 2020 was celebrated

World Energy Conservation Day 2020 was celebrated by the Department of Electrical Engineering, GIET University Gunupur to raise awareness on the importance of energy conservation in our day-to-day life.

The Chief Guest of the event Shree Ravi Kumar Kandasamy, Deputy Director (Energy & Infrastructure) Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Rural Industrialization (MGIRI)
(National Institute under Ministry of MSME), Maharashtra enlightened the students on different environmental issues, the need for renewable energy and everyday measures required to conserve energy.

Dr. G R K D Satya Prasad, HOD, Department of Electrical Engineering discussed about the efforts made by the university for conserving energy including smart grids and solar energy integration.
