As a part of the Van Mahotsava, the NSS wing of GIET University conducted a plantation drive in the campus and outside in the community. Van Mahotsava is a week-long tree planting festival where people from across the country plant trees to nurture the environment. It is an act of giving back to nature for its bountiful benefits that nature offers to humankind.
On the occasion teaching and non-teaching staff members of the University including the dignitaries enthusiastically participated in the activity of planting trees. Dr. N. V. Jagannadha Rao, Registrar of GIET University planted the sapling and spoke about the importance of Van Mahotsava.
