GIET University today honoured and celebrated the 152nd birth anniversary of the ‘Father of the Nation’ Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi! The pioneer of Indian Independence, Gandhiji taught values of non-violence and to live a courageous life. On this pious occasion, GIETU conducted a vastradaan campaign ‘Spandan’, where students and staff of the university distributed clothes and essentials to the needy. There were also other engaging activities like singing competition, debate competition and essay competition for enthusiast participants. These competitions uplifted the spirit of the values that Mahatma Gandhi taught and helped spread his message among all. The University always follows the path of truthfulness and to give education to one and all and help students enrich their life to become the best in the field.
Mahatma Gandhi always valued education as the backbone of a person’s development. He said “An education, which does not teach us to discriminate between good and bad, to assimilate the one and eschew the other, is a misnomer”. He believed that only education can be the weapon to liberate every human being from any vice.
