Sustaining & enhancing agriculture system can promote economic growth, reduce poverty and help in enhancing the food security of the country but it cannot be achieved without research, development and effective strategies.

A two days National Seminar on “Rainfed Agriculture: Strategies for a Sustainable Farm Economy” was organised by School of Agriculture, GIET University on 15th & 16th February 2020.

It was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Dalwai, IAS,CEO,NRAA, Dept. of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, GOI, New Delhi and Dr. Satya Prakash Panda, President, GIETU.
