Industry Tie-ups

The department of Computer Science and Technology at GIET University has tie-ups with different organisations, companies and skill development centres. This is to ensure that all the students are provided with a learning environment that challenges them and helps them develop their knowledge, practical and social skills holistically. The focus is also on developing their leadership qualities, evolve socially responsible behaviour and inculcate lifelong learning habit in them. The industrial tie-ups include the following industries, organisations and educational institutions:

Microsoft

GIET University has collaborated with Microsoft to prepare and mentor the final semester students to go through a technical readiness program that will include classroom training and mentoring. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees are selected as Support Engineers and Partner Technical Consultant.

CISCO

CISCO trains our students to design, built and maintain complex computer networks. After the successful completion of the course, students are prepared for globally recognised industry standard certifications like CISCO Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

Computer Society of India

Computer Society of India (CSI) is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. The Society encourages professionals to maintain the quality and competence of the profession and fosters a sense of partnership amongst members. The department of Computer Science and Technology of GIET University has collaborated with the Computer Society of India to hold several workshops, meet-ups, webinars, online competitions etc.

Oracle Academy

Oracle Academy and the Computer Science and Technology department of GEIT University has an academic initiative. Under this initiative, our students work on Open-Source technologies that offer access to the latest software such as MySQL, Oracle, Linux, BlueJ, and so on.

IBM

The department of Computer Science and Technology of GIET University has collaborated with IBM to offer courses on cloud computing, information security, Big Data, and business analytics to the students.

Redhat

The department of Computer Science and Technology has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Redhat. Through this partnership, Redhat is providing training and certification programs in the most demanding and globally recognised IT certifications. This comes in the form of hands-on instruction, performance-based testing, instructor support and so on.
