Overview

B.Tech Computer Science is a four-year undergraduate degree in computer science. Calculus, Algorithms, Computer Design, Database Learning, and other subjects are discussed in this course, which offers a foundation in computer science.

B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is a four-year academic programme that combines computer science and computer engineering. The programme mainly focuses on computer programming and networking fundamentals. However, it also covers a wide range of topics. These programmes are related to algorithms, data processing, computer languages, programme design, computer components, and computer software, among other things. It is an in-depth study of computer systems and applications.

An individual will be endowed with the following skills at the end of the programme:

Logical reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills
Be able to programme in a number of languages on a variety of operating systems
Build cutting-edge software systems, such as online, mobile, and cloud-based applications.

The curriculum addresses a broad variety of subjects while stressing the fundamentals of computer programming and networking. Computation, algorithms, programming languages, programme design, computer software, computer hardware, and other similar topics are covered. For admission into the programme, the student must mandatorily complete Class 12 or equivalent with an aggregate of at least 45 percent marks from a centrally acknowledged board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

The performance of an applicant in national or state level entrance examinations such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, TANCET, and others will be used to assess admission to this course.

A degree in this field will prepare the individual for a range of roles such as web developer, mobile developer, software developer and other related careers in the field of computer science.

Eligibility

B.Tech Computer Science & & Technology

Candidates appearing for the GIETEE-2020 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2020, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
1. The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).
2. Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva.
4. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/ Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
5. As per GIET UNIVERSITY norms, NIOS candidates are also eligible to apply. They should submit Migration-Cum-Transfer certificate at the time of admission.
