Anti-Ragging Policy

GIETU has set up an anti-ragging committee in pursuance of the University Grants Commission (UGC) instruction to prohibit, prevent and eradicate the scourge of ragging in Indian educational institutions. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the university campus or hostels. Any student found guilty of practicing ragging/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, or being involved as a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, shall be liable for punishment by the UGC Regulations 2009 as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force.
