Alumni Talk – Department of ECE
Our esteemed alumnus, Mr. Pratyush Pritimaya (ECE, 2011–2015), delivered a virtual Alumni Talk on 19.09.2025 via Google Meet on the topic “Cybersecurity and the Current Threat Landscape.” His insightful talk provided valuable guidance to the students, enhancing their understanding of the latest trends, challenges, and career opportunities in the field of cybersecurity.

As part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen alumni engagement and provide career-oriented insights to students, a virtual Alumni Talk was organized for the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department on 19th September 2025.
The session was delivered by our esteemed alumnus Mr. Pratyush Pritimaya (ECE, 2011–2015), who is currently serving as a Threat Analyst 2 at SOPHOS, Hyderabad.
Topic of the Talk:
“Cybersecurity and the Current Threat Landscape”
Mr. Pratyush shared his industry experience and shed light on various aspects of cybersecurity, including emerging threats, mitigation strategies, and the evolving role of cybersecurity professionals in today’s digital world. His talk helped students gain a deeper understanding of the real-world challenges and opportunities in the cybersecurity domain.
The session was highly interactive and engaging, lasting for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. In the final segment of the session, Mr. Pratyush conducted an interactive quiz, which saw enthusiastic participation from the students. He announced three winners and declared prizes for them as a token of appreciation and motivation.
The session proved to be immensely beneficial for students, helping them broaden their knowledge and inspiring many to explore career paths in the field of cybersecurity.
