Dr. Amlan Das

Alumni Association Cell and dept of Mechanical Engg. organized an Alumni Talk on Virtual mode by Dr. Amlan Das, a distinguished alumnus of the Mechanical Engineering Department (Batch: 2007–2011), is presently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the prestigious Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy, Punjab. He recently addressed the 2nd and 3rd-year students of Mechanical Engineering, delivering an enlightening talk on the topic, “Higher Studies and Research Scenario in India.” on 11th January 2025. During his address, Dr. Das elaborated on the significance of higher education and how it can open doors to diverse career opportunities. He emphasized the value of pursuing advanced degrees such as M.Tech, MS, MBA, and Ph.D., and highlighted the research avenues available through programs like Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). Through his talk, Dr. Das underlined how these academic pursuits not only deepen one’s knowledge but also significantly enhance professional prospects in both academia and industry.
