Report on “Van Mahotsav Program”

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of our University undertook a commendable “Van Mahotsav Program”, aimed at contributing to environmental sustainability. The initiative took place on 04/07/26 at GIET UNIVERSITY. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculties and dignitaries, emphasizing the importance of environmental sustainability and ecological awareness. The ceremonial plantation was inaugurated by Dr. A.V.N.L Sharma, Vice- chancellor of GIET University along with Mr. Pradeep Kumar Acharya, Forest Ranger, Gunupur Division  with active participation of Purna Chandra Patra, Sabita Mahapatra, Ram Kumar Nayak, Surya Narayana Mahankuda (staffs from forest department). Mrs. K. Jayasrhree, Principal, School of Nursing, Dr. Prtiva Kar, HoD, School of Basic Science and Humanities along with other faculty members of different departments were present during the Program. The program was organized by Dr. Premasnshu Sekhar Rath, Bani Prasad Nayak, Pramod Ranjan Panda Rabindra Kumar Panda (Sports Officer). GIET University Campus alive with the planting of saplings by the staffs and students of the university symbolizing GIET University’s commitment to fostering green values and environmental responsibility among youth.
