ADMISSION NOTICE

The M.Sc. Biotechnology program at GIET University, Gunupur, has been recognized as a nationally supported PG program with 10 seats by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, from 2020 onwards. We have a BIRAC-supported scheme to promote a culture of applied research focused on societal or industry-driven entrepreneurial innovation among young students and researchers working at the Department/University.

Eligibility for admission into the DBT-supported MSc Biotechnology Program

A pass in B.Sc. Biotechnology / B.Sc. with Biochemistry / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology / Physics / Chemistry / Environmental Sciences / Agriculture / BVSc. / B.Tech Biotechnology / B. Pharm / BAMS / BHMS / BPT and any other related discipline with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
Qualified GAT-B 2026 score conducted by RCB, Faridabad (NTA)

How to apply

Eligible candidates are requested to complete the admission form at https://admission.giet.edu/register to be admitted to the DBT-supported MSc Program 2026. You may mention your GAT-B 2026 score in the last row of the application form (write “other/state, please specify”). The selection shall be made on a purely merit basis.

Last date for submission of the application form: 05.07. 2026

Course fee structure

Semester Fee: 12,500/- (Rupees Twelve thousand five hundred only) per semester (MSc Biotechnology Program constitutes 4 semesters). Separate hostels are available for boys and girls, and hostel charges for boarding and lodging, as per the university norms, are not included in the semester fee.
