Mr. Suren Nayak (B.Tech. Mechanical, 2004–2008)


Our distinguished alumnus, Mr. Suren Nayak (B.Tech Mechanical, 2004–2008), is currently serving as an Engineering Team Leader at AMETEK MRO in the United Kingdom. In this role, he leads critical engineering activities related to landing gear systems, hydraulic systems, and electro-mechanical actuators. He also ensures strict compliance with international aviation regulations set by EASA and FAA, while fostering a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Alongside his technical and managerial responsibilities, he actively mentors and guides young engineers, shaping the next generation of professionals in the field.

Mr. Suren delivered a virtual Alumni Talk on 02.04.2026 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM to our 1st and 2nd year AME students, as well as 1st year Mechanical Engineering students.

He inspired our students by sharing his professional journey, highlighting how dedication, continuous learning, and adaptability are key to building a successful career in the aviation and engineering sectors. He spoke about the importance of strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, practical problem-solving skills, and staying updated with evolving technologies.

During the session, he provided valuable insights into real-world engineering challenges, particularly in aircraft maintenance and safety-critical systems. He emphasized the significance of adhering to international standards, teamwork, and effective communication in a global work environment.

Mr. Suren also encouraged students to develop a growth mindset, pursue their goals with confidence, and make the most of every learning opportunity during their academic years. His interaction was highly engaging and motivating, leaving a lasting impact on the students and inspiring them to strive for excellence in their future careers.
