As part of the AI for ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT: India AI Impact Summit 2026, Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University (GIET), Gunupur, Odisha, organized a Panel Discussion and Hands-on Training for Faculty on 2nd February 2026 under Theme 4: Democratizing AI Resources. The program focused on enabling equitable access to AI tools and knowledge, with special emphasis on the application of Generative AI and Agentic AI tools for mentoring, nurturing innovation, and supporting start-ups in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs). The event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting and welcome address by Dr. K. M. Gopal, Dy. Dean, Computational Sciences, followed by an insightful panel discussion featuring eminent industry experts from Bio-Rad Laboratories, HCL Technologies, VD Digital Alliance LLP, and Vatsa ProCons LLP. Moderated by Dr. Ramaraju Poosapati (TCS, Hyderabad), the discussion highlighted industry–academia collaboration, capacity building, and practical pathways for empowering faculty (25 Faculties) and students (270 Students Participated) to contribute effectively to a self-reliant, AI-driven India.
