GIET University, Gunupur was honored on the occasion of “National Voluntary Blood Donation Day” for its invaluable contribution to social welfare through the organization of voluntary blood donation camps under the aegis of its National Service Scheme (NSS). During a ceremony held at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur coordinated by the Department of Transfusion Medicine and Odisha Blood donation Centre, GIET University was formally felicitated. The Dean and Principal, Dr. Suchitra Das, Superintendent, Dr. Durga Madhab Satapathy, Registrar, Dr. Sangram Sekhatr Panda and Dept., Head Dr. Sabita Palei presided over the event, presenting the certificate and memento of appreciation to GIET University’s NSS Program Officer, Prof. Bani Prasad Nayak. The University has aided numerous patients suffering from anemia and other conditions requiring blood transfusion. This recognition fostered a celebratory atmosphere among NSS volunteers, students and faculty members.
