Celebration of Viswakarma Puja at Mechanical Workshop

Viswakarma Puja, an auspicious occasion dedicated to Lord Viswakarma—the divine architect and patron deity of engineers, craftsmen, and artisans—was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at the Mechanical Workshop of the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 17th September 2025. Preparations for the celebration commenced a day in advance. The entire workshop was meticulously cleaned and adorned with vibrant decorations, including flowers, rangoli designs, and colorful drapes. A beautifully crafted idol of Lord Viswakarma was gracefully installed at the center of the workshop, symbolizing the divine presence and blessings for all. The faculty members, technical staff, and students from various departments have assembled in front of the decorated altar to offer their prayers today. The ceremony has begun with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the chanting of Vedic hymns and mantras by the priest. The atmosphere has resonated with reverence, devotion, and spiritual energy as all participants took part in the rituals with utmost sincerity. Offerings of flowers, fruits, sweets, and traditional tools symbolizing our trade are made to Lord Viswakarma, seeking his blessings for success, innovation, and prosperity in our professional endeavors. Special prayers are also offered for the safety, well-being, and achievements of all students and staff members of the University.

The celebration has not only honored our cultural and spiritual heritage but also has inspired everyone to uphold the values of dedication, craftsmanship, and excellence in their respective fields.
