As part of our ongoing alumni engagement initiatives, a virtual Alumni Talk was organized for the students of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department on 20th September 2025. The talk was delivered by our esteemed alumnus Mr. Chhabila Kumar Sahoo (Batch: EEE, 2007–2011), who is currently serving as an Assistant Manager at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Bhubaneswar.

Topic of the Session: “New Technologies in Power Transmission Systems in India”

During the session, Mr. Sahoo provided deep insights into the advancements and emerging technologies being adopted in power transmission across the country. He elaborated on topics such as smart grids, automation in substations, integration of renewable energy into the grid, and modern safety protocols. His industry experience and practical examples helped students understand the real-world applications of concepts they study in the classroom.

The session witnessed active participation from the students, who engaged with the speaker through Q&A and discussions. It proved to be a valuable learning experience, offering students exposure to the current trends and expectations in the power sector.
