The Intellectual Property Facilitating Centre (IPFC) – GIET University, Gunupur, Odisha is committed to fostering innovation, research, and entrepreneurship by providing comprehensive support in the field of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The centre acts as a dedicated platform to guide faculty members, researchers, students, and innovators in filing patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other IPR services while also promoting awareness on the significance of protecting intellectual assets. As part of its initiatives, the IPFC-GIET University Cell is organizing a One Day Online Awareness Program on Intellectual Property Rights on 31st August 2025, featuring expert sessions by distinguished speakers including Dr. Ritu Maity (CTTC, Bhubaneswar), Mrs. Pooja Kumar (Registered Patent Agent & Start-up Facilitator, GoI), Dr. Sukomal Dey (IIT Palakkad), and Dr. Arun Kumar Mishra (Registered Trademark Consultant). This program aims to equip participants with essential knowledge on patent filing, trademark registration, and other aspects of IPR to strengthen innovation culture within the academic and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
