POWER Electronics is a professional engineering discipline that deals with design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. The department is supported by well qualified, experienced teaching staff from various streams of POWER ELECTRONICS like Structures, Geo technical, Environmental, Transportation, Hydraulics and Irrigation, Engg. The department of POWER ELECTRONICS was started in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 students. The Institution has a separate block used for POWER ELECTRONICS Department with spacious classrooms and laboratories. The Department is well equipped with modern machines and equipments to impart practical knowledge to students. Seven batches of students have graduated so far. The Department is also offering M.Tech course in Structural Engineering.
The M.Tech in POWER Electronics is a broad and flexible degree program with the curriculum specifically designed to reflect the depth and breadth of POWER ELECTRONICS.. Expert members from Academia and Industry provide inputs in introducing specialized courses in the curriculum to suit industry needs. The four-year course that lead to a degree in Bachelor of Technology (M.Tech), adopt a University-mandated semester system of 8 semesters.
Minimum of 55% marks / 5.5 (on a 10 point scale) in B.E. /B. Tech./M.Sc. or equivalent in appropriate branches, Candidates who have a valid GATE score, are eligible to apply for M. Tech.
