GIET University, Gunupur (formerly known as Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology) was established by “Vidya Bharati Educational Trust,” Gunupur, Odisha, India in the year 1997. Since inception, the Trust promotes Technical Education in India with a motto of providing Quality Education in a highly disciplined and conducive environment with International Standards.
Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) involves research, design, development and testing of electronic equipments used in various systems. Electronics & Communication engineers also conceptualize and oversee the manufacturing of communication and broadcast systems. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 2009 with an intake of 60 students. It is supported by well qualified, experienced teaching staff from various areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering. It is well equipped with modern machines and equipments to impart practical knowledge to students. Seven batches of students have graduated so far.
The M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a broad and flexible degree program with the curriculum specifically designed to reflect the depth and breadth of Electronics and Communication Engineering.. Expert members from Academia and Industry provide inputs in introducing specialized courses in the curriculum to suit industry needs. The two-year course that leads to a degree in Master of Technology (M.Tech.), adopt a University-mandated semester system of 4 semesters.
