B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering

B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering is similar to all other engineering courses offered in India. A candidate who is enrolled in this course can complete the course in a span of 4 years.
The course is designed to help students understand the use and designing of farming equipment to perform the agricultural processes more efficiently. They also get to learn the building of agricultural infrastructure like warehouses, dams, reservoirs etc. which are essential to improve the productivity of farmers.

The programme prepares students to get ready as professionals who have solution-driven minds to solve the problems associated with the farming process. The curriculum of the course is designed to help students understand the automation in the agriculture sector. It covers the optimization techniques, technologies and mechanisation of farming.

The four years B.Tech Agricultural Engineering course enables students to implement their learning process in the integration of automation and farming process to enhance the productivity of the farming and agriculture industry.

Eligibility

  • B.tech Agricultural Engineering

    Candidates appearing for the GIETEE-2020 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2020, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

    1. The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).
    2. Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
    3. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva.
    4. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/ Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
    5. As per GIET UNIVERSITY norms, NIOS candidates are also eligible to apply. They should submit Migration-Cum-Transfer certificate at the time of admission.
