ISTE

The Indian Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is a nonprofit professional organization with a nationwide membership in Technical Education. It is dedicated to providing service to improve teaching and learning by advancing the effective use of technology in education and teacher education. Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) has its headquarters at NEW DELHI. ISTE has over 430 CHAPTERS and they are the number is increasing. All programmes of ISTE are organised as per the AICTE norms and rules. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organisations. Being the only national organisation of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology, ISTE effectively contributes in various missions of the Union Government. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE/DST/MIT/State Govts. are well associated with the ISTE for programmes relating to technical education. ISTE Chapter at GANDHI GROUP OF INSTITUTION, GUNUPUR has established in the year 2003. The chapter consists of 139 life members and 2837 student members registered as on 2010. GGI, Gunupur has the highest number of Staff and Student members in Orissa. GGI, Gunupur is one of the most vibrant and active chapter of ISTE in Orissa conducting a number of programmes under the banner of ISTE, New Delhi.
