NATIONAL SEMINAR ORGANISED BY DEPT. OF EEE

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has organized a two days National Seminar on "POWER SCENARIO PRESENT & FUTURE" at GIET campus, from 21st  to 22nd Nov,2009. Several delegates from different engineering colleges and Industries of India had attended the Seminar. The Seminar was focused on "Recent Trends in Power System Analysis: A Review" by Prof. (Dr) P.K. Satapathy, "The Present Hydel Projects in Orissa" by Mr. Abhinash Panda, GM-PROJECTS ( Utkal Alumina International Limited), Efficient Energy Scheduling Through Genetic Algorithms" by Prof(Dr) Siba Prasad Panigrahi, "MATLAB/ SIMULINK model of Power System with FACTS Controller for stability studies" by Prof (Dr) Sidharth Panda and "Growth Impertatives and Critical Success Factors of Competitive Markets" by Mr.Krishna Kumar G.H, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, VIsakhapatnam. Different experts, Professors, Faculties and Students of from NIT Warrangle, GRIDCO Orissa, RIT, The Techno School, GIST, GIET has focused on different topics in the field of power generation and transmission, Control and tried to give awareness on present power scenario and its remedies.



UDBHAV 2K9
(A TECH FEST ORGANISED BY DEPT. OF EEE)

The First Annual Tech Fest of EEE & EE Department "UDBHAV-2K9" was organized by students of Electrical Students Luminous Association (TESLA), Department of EEE & EE at GIET, Gunupur from 17th to 18th October, 2009. The fest got better with new talent, new shine, new flavor, and new energy loaded with total excitement and full of creativity. The two day programme has conducted different competitions on different events including PROSCENIUM, QUIZZONAIRE, COUNTER STRIKE1.6, FUSION, CIRCUIT-ENIGMA, CORPOSTART and ELECTRICAL CHESS. Students from different reputed institute had participated in different events. At last the two day tech fest was ended with cultural programme.
